How do you talk to young people about rape and consent?

Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police

The mission

Rape isn’t an easy topic to talk about. But a lack of conversation means a lot of people don’t know or aren’t confident about what consent means. High-profile cases like Ched Evans’s only muddy the water. Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police needed to clear up the confusion and show how knowing when you have consent and when you don’t is simple.

What we did

Our campaign uses young people’s reasoning, excuses, wrong ideas and language to educate them. It ran across print and social media, including a Snapchat campaign in schools and campuses across the West Midlands.
